Denis Hauw

Denis is our guide in bringing together interest research and the world of (top-level) sports.

Drawing on his extensive experience in academic research in sports psychology and psychological support for athletes and their coaches, Denis has a significant expertise in issues related to careers in high-performance sports.

As a researcher, Denis has been exploring the psychological processes involved in the activities of elite athletes for over 30 years, with a particular interest in personal dynamics (narrative identities, personality, experiences). He has published over 200 scientific articles, chapters, and books reporting on this work.

As a consultant, Denis brings his experience as a psychologist working with individual athletes, teams, and coaches in various sports (athletics, fencing, soccer, gymnastics, rugby, skiing, triathlon, sailing). He has also contributed to several intercontinental and Olympic medals.   
As part of the LLAS team, Denis is helping to develop the questionnaire in the field of high-level sport.
